Combat Application Tourniquet is a small, lightweight tape that allows one-handed use and stop arterial haemorrhage on extremities. A tape is used which fits to different sizes of extreme and a one-handed tension system.
The tensioning system uses a freely moving embedded tape, which allows full compression of the entire surface of the patch. We fix the tensioning system with one hand in the position with the buckle. The C-A-T also contains a Velcro tensioner clamp to prevent loosening the tensioning system during transport. The overpass does not contain metal parts.
A - Insert the damaged extreme through the tape.
B - Pull the free end of the tape to fit tightly and then patch it back. Do not stick the strap over the tightening system
C - Turn the tensioning system clockwise until the bleeding stops.
D- Secure the tensioner handle in the pin. Always secure the buckle and tape for added safety before transporting the injured person. For smaller limbs, the tape of the tightening system should also be secured alongside the handle.
E - Wrap the ribbon around the extremity and the pin when using on small parts.
F - Tighten the Velcro tape tightly to tighten and tighten the clamp.
